After one use my dry, damaged, over-highlighted (bad hairdresser!!!), colored, poor abused 37-year-old hair... was soft and silky and not frizzy at all! It wasn't straight, but after much abuse my previously curly hair that had not been curling properly any more... well I woke up and it was like big fat magazine curls. Not frizzy tiny ones. And that was after sleeping on it all night. I almost didn't want to wash it out. I did and it was only ok afterwards but I am going to keep using it - I have high hopes. I think you could almost not wash it out if you have curly hair and just go as is. Hm... It also didn't look greasy at all. And it smells great! I had tried the Redken anti-ageing stuff - and I have to say in comparison, that product made my hair feel "fake" and coated and I didn't like the smell at all. Very chemical-ly. Alterna's product just smells good and your hair feels nice after. Love it.

Love it but concern on some of the ingredients, August 31, 2009

I used this product and love it. When my cousin told me that some of olay products contains ingredients that are deemed as "cancer causing in animal" and organ toxicity etc.... according to skin deep web site. I google those ingredients and found that four ingredients cyclopentasiloxane(first ingredient), Ethyparaben, propylparaben and methylparaben(actually banned in Europe to be used in skin product) are the bad ingredient. I am now totally torned as I love it on my skin and concerned that it might be the causes for my fribromygia. So, I hope Olay will remove these ingredients and produce some product that are green and non-toxic.

I had severe acne as a teenager and now that I'm in my 30's I have an occasional breakout. I would always read in the beauty magazines that you should apply a moisturizer on your face but I was reluctant because of my acne-prone skin. I'm not sure why I decided to give Olay Total Effects a try but I am so glad I did. I have been using it every day for over a year now. It does not make my skin breakout at all (a big plus in my book). It makes my skin very smooth and gives me that "dewy" look. It also helps my foundation look more natural looking because the moisturizer is so hydrating. I also like the fact that it protects my skin from the sun.

I would definately recommend this product to anyone looking for a moisturizer. Despite it's high price (compared to other brands) it's definately worth it.

I've been using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion along with Moisture On-Call for years. This winter has been especially brisk, so my skin was still dry no matter how much product I put on.

This weekend, I saw the Olay at my local warehouse store (3.4fl oz/100ml size) and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the results! My skin now feels soft and moisturized. I will continue using this product because it is fragrance free (so is Clinique), but in additon: oil-free and has SPF-15.

Thank you for the tips!! That smudge tip seemed to be so simple, but something I hadn’t thought to do. I often don’t wear liner on my bottom lash line because it seems to smudge every time. I think my eyes water more than normal, and most mascara’s make the watering worse. I’ll definitely be trying that out!
